Life is Hard

This past week I attended the funeral of Justin Barney. At the age of 10 Justin fell out of a truck, hitting his head, causing severe brain damage. He spent the next 31 years trapped in a paralyzed body.

My aunt Gail spent the next eleven thousand plus days taking care of her boy. She was trapped in a world that she never could have imagined. No longer could she watch her boy play baseball. She couldn’t catch him sneaking into the cookie jar. She couldn’t ask him for a hug.

There are others whom I love that are trapped in this world. My sister Genny has a daughter, Annalynn, who in this life will never dance or run in the grass on a summer day.

Justin, you now walk on the clouds. Aunt Gail, few have rendered such love to a son. Annalynn, someday you will dance with the angels. Genny, may you find the light when darkness is all you can see.

Danny, you have a lot of work to do to walk amongst such company.

Good reminder of how blessed we are.

Most of the time we think our lives are horrible and we're in the deep suffering. We, however, should constantly remember that there're many people whose lives are worse than ours like the stories you shared. Thus, we should happily accept our present suffering rather than shunning it.

Danny thank you for your story. It makes me ashamed of my own complaints, and very greatful for what the Lord has blessed me with.

Thanks for your story..
Even though we're faced with hard times.. Strenuous even we cannot think of them as why did this happen to me.. or how much longer will i have to face this.
Instead..
We need to find out what we can learn from the position we are in.
From each new experience comes an opportunity to grasp new skills.
I am sorry for your loss.
And I hope all becomes well

There is a God, what does he want from me?

Keep your faith strong believe in God. Never feel alone for God sent his son Jesus Christ to help us through our journey of life. He is our light in the darkness. When we find our selves in the depths of despair, sorrow and pain. Remember the suffering, which our Savior endured for us. Our dear savior was completely alone from the time when he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked his apostles to stay and pray, but three times where found asleep. When Jesus took upon our sins and suffering he felt our pain and our tribulations. Jesus has walked in our footsteps and knows our battles in life. The cross in which he carried where our sins every child of God. Jesus lived, suffered, endured the pains of Gods children and died for us. Oh don’t let your mind be troubled. God loves you and wants you to find your way home. Our lives mold and form us to the greatness that we can become if we heed the word of God. Try to find the small things in life worth living and if ye cannot find not one. Pray and pray always read the scriptures and you will be led on a journey of greatness and because of your growing faith you will hear the words you need to hear as a soft whisper in the direction you must go to find the strength to endure and bare your portion of the cross to the end. Though we may have mental or physical pain it is only but a short while and it will be no more, for God will heal our wounds. If we but keep all faith in God and endure to the end never giving up. Believe that our Savior Jesus Christ has lived and died for us so that we imperfect children can return to our Heavenly Father if we chose to follow our Savior Jesus Christ and keep his commandments. So if Jesus carried all of Gods Children upon his back. Why cant we try to endure the pain and tribulations knowing we do not stand in darkness, we have a light if we but pray with sincerity for guidance our light will shine with great brightness and we shall surely not be alone.

Danny,
Your writing is beyond eloquent. I knew Genny in what feels like a prior life. I can only hope that light has entered her , and she is in a good place. She has always stayed in the back of my mind. I cared deeply for her, but my time to embrace change and the light separated our paths. Best to you always.
